Hero Hustle 5k Run/Walk 2015

Community Tissue Services and Life Connection of Ohio will be hosting the 2nd Annual Hero Hustle 5K Run/Walk! Last year we ended up with over 600 participants and over 50 volunteers to make that amazing day possible.  We were so touched by the number of participants that our goal for this year is to have 800-1000 participants (or MORE)!  Some of the highlights from 2014 included: the donor family teams, recipient teams, supporter/corporate teams, a donor family and recipient meeting for the first time, blue and green balloon release in memory of the organ, eye and tissue donors that we celebrated, all of the amazing “Hero” costumes, the kids run, and so much more!

If you had a team last year, see how many more you can get to join the cause!  If you need help setting up a team on the race sign up page contact Abby at abrentlinger@communitytissue.org or at 419-536-4924 x5201.  This year any age can participate in the 5k!  So for those brave, young souls that want to do the full race: SIGN UP!  Included in the registration fee for the 5K is another great t-shirt, an embroidered beanie hat, along with a finisher medal at the end of the race to commemorate the event.

We hope to see you all there again with as much energy at you had last year.  Remember, sign up early and start building your team of supporters!  The event was so widely covered by the media last year that we had a massive organ, eye and tissue donation education/awareness event on our hands through your participation.

Our fine sponsors to date include:  Dave’s Running, 13abc, K100 radio, Herbally Radiant, University of Toledo Medical College, Promedica, Lions Eye Bank and Corigraphics.
